These classes make up the backbone of our structured workplace education. These classes focus on the basics knowledge needed to work in a café or coffee shop setting. This one-day workshop is designed as a review, company collaboration or overview of the material.
These classes are offered free for wholesale accounts and employee or are available to the general public for 450 dollars a day.
Lunch is included.
Module 1: Cupping, Tasting and Describing Coffee
The goal of this class is to learn how to properly cup coffee and describe the coffee. Through this class we will gain an extensive vocabulary that will help us in describing coffees no mater how they are extracted.
Module 2: Extraction as an Art and Science
The goal of this class is to lay the foundation to proper brewing and to gain a basic understanding of science behind brewing an amazing cup
Module 3: The art of creating the perfect shot
The goal of this class is to learn how to properly extract a shot of espresso, describe the shot and relate the process to a customer.
Module 4: Denaturing Milk and Creating Art
The goal of this class is to understand the process of steaming milk to create rich velvety foam in order to create excellent milk based espresso drinks
