Brewing Fundamentals is a one day class in which we covers the essential skills of brewing and tasting coffee. This class was designed to build a baristas vocabulary in regards to tasting and describing coffees as well as a working knowledge of several brew devices. In Brewing Fundamentals we cover:
- Cupping and describing coffees from different regions and different processing methods
- The basics of brewing with a pour over device
- How the 7 main variables of brewing affect a cup of coffee.
In this class the Barista will have exposure to at least 4 brew devices and be able to experiment with how the variables of brewing affect these devices.
This class is a mixture of lecture and with substantially more hands on training than the Barista Essentials.
