After the ripe coffee fruit is picked it is then pulped to remove the mucilage through fermentation or washed process after, then the beans are dried on elevated drying tables.
Sourced from family owned farms around the Coffee Planters Cooperative Union. This coffee is from the area surrounding the Northern Lake Malawi. The average size of each farm is around .5 hectares with a sum of 3000 farmers producing seasonally.
